Canonmills Church from the outside

Where all are welcome

Since 1987 our congregation has called Canonmills home. Previously a penny school for Robert Louis Stevenson, then a mission hall and a base for the 46th Edinburgh Company of the Boy’s Brigade, today the historic building is a vibrant church in the north of Edinburgh.

Though we fondly remember our Baptist roots, we operate independently and ecumenically with our ministry led by our deacons and congregation, working hand-in-hand to ensure all who want to be a part of church life and ministry are able to be.

Join us in Worship

Our ministry is unique in that we, intentionally, have no permanent pastor and instead explore a programme of visiting ministers, spanning the branches of Christian faith, who provide a rich variety of services in a traditional style.

We pride ourselves on our warm reception of friends and newcomers alike. You are most welcome to join us.

We currently meet for a service at 11am on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month and information on who is leading each service can be found on our Worship page.
