Canonmills Church Open House
On Saturday 26 September from 10am-4pm we’ll be open to visitors and taking part in this year’s theme: Heritage at Risk: Revive, Resist, Reimagine.
We’ll be hosting the Robert Louis Stevenson Club, the 46th Company Boys’ Brigade, and the Baptist History Project as we explore the ways in which the building’s purpose has changed over the years – from penny school to Robert Louis Stevenson, to Boys’ Brigade Mission Hall, to a church.
Most recently, the building has served as our church home. We’re doing a lot of work with the community and as part of Doors Open Days we’ll be serving refreshments to our visitors who’d like to sit down with a cuppa and take it all in.
Canonmills Book Club
The 2nd Wednesday of each month
2.30-3.30pm at Canonmills Church
Each month someone from the group suggests a new book, exploring different authors and genres. Come along for fellowship and fiction (and probably some non-fiction as well)!
Canonmills Craft Group
The 4th Wednesday of each month
2.30-4pm at Canonmills Church
Those who attend are invited to bring their own projects to work on, or take part in a communal craft. To cover the cost of supplies, we ask for a donation of £2 per person for each session.
